Dr. William James Smith, Jr. serves as an associate research professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Smith, Jr. is a co-principal investigator for the "Climate Change Vulnerability of Native Americans in the Southwest" research project. He has collaborated with Dr. Karletta Chief on a socioeconomic vulnerability analysis study of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe and on a video highlighting Nevada tribes and climate change.
